Prayer and Liturgy

square parish

The school is a place of prayer and worship and liturgy has a central place in the life of the school. Throughout the year students are  involved in a number of celebrations. These include celebrations during Lent and Advent, the Feasts of Mary MacKillop and St Joseph, Catholic School’s Week, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas and Parish Masses.

Students attend two Masses per Term as a school community throughout the year and each Friday a class attends the Parish Mass. Our Year 6 students gather with Bishop Peter and a number of our diocesan students, teachers and clergy to celebrate a special Mass.

Students have the opportunity to be involved in our school choir.  We have a K-2 Choir and a Year 3-6 Choir. These choirs lead our singing during school-based and parish-based liturgies and Masses.

Students participate in the Sacramental Programs, which culminate in their respective Parish based celebrations. Retreat days for students in Year 6 and Year 3 are held prior to them receiving their Sacraments.
